New Children home in Itihari planning underway |

Kanchan, Dipendra’s wife, has begun this next SSCH plan by locating an excellent house/land for the next home. We are now awaiting a major donor to be able to contribute the start-up capital to get this home in action. If you are interested in this please contact us for more details. Itihari is located in the southeastern of Nepal, and currently has only one other (traditional) orphanage servicing the needs of homeless children – consequently children are sent to Kathmandu. We locate here in the countryside to ensure a healthy ad natural upbringing of the children in their native environment, with support, care and quality education options. |

Sanitation Project in Kalika Village |

After completing the rural hospital building in Kalika, it became clear from the Village committee that some additional support for sanitation and care for the water systems would be of benefit. Babu Gc has made a study of the poorest households and a suggested plan to help create better sanitation. This will really help the health of the community as the poorest of the households are up/river of the main village and consequently their waste contaminates the water contributing to disease – water borne diseases being a major health issue in Nepal. This will be one of our ‘adopt a project’ options and you can contribute to helping a family build a toilet, please contact us. |
